The retired NFL star made the joking comments in the latest episode of the ‘New Heights’ podcast, released on Oct. 2. Jason Kelce doesn’t seem to share the same taste in movies as Swifties.
During the Wednesday, Oct. 2 episode of the New Heights podcast, Jason, 36, jokingly accused Taylor Swift fans of choosing bad films for him and his brother Travis Kelce to watch in their film club for the next Wondery Plus episode.
Going through the film suggestions sent in by fans, Jason said unimpressed, “There’s just a lot of chick flicks. We got a lot of Swifties trying to make us watch bad movies,” referring to Swift’s fans as Travis, who has been dating the singer for over a year, laughed.
“I’ll go Spaceballs and… can we do Sister Act?” Jason asked. Travis, 34, responded, “Sister Act Two. I’m only doing Sister Act Two.”

Jason ended up going with fans’ suggestions of the 1980s classics Spaceballs and The Goonies, while Travis agreed, adding in the 1991 football comedy Necessary Roughness as another film choice.
“Yeah, Bridget Jones’ Diary?” Jason asked, going over another option.
“I mean, I’ll watch it. I don’t have a problem with any of these, Jason,” Travis replied. “I’ll watch whatever one.”
“I don’t have a problem with them either,” Jason said. “But if we put one of these chick flicks on there, it’s gonna f—— win,” he jokingly added.

Jason’s teasing comments about Swift, 34, and her fans come after he praised the singer in a recent interview.
Speaking with Philadelphia’s 94WIP Morning Show on Sept. 12, the Monday Night Countdown star said, “She is, like, so talented it’s ridiculous. Not only as a singer, a songwriter, production-wise, like, she’s so involved in every facet of it.”
The retired Philadelphia Eagles center reflected on Swift’s mega-star status, saying, “When I think of, like, big names in music that have sustained over such a long time, and the way she has [fame], it feels like all of them kind of get to that. She’s at that, like, Bruce Springsteen [level] — like, tied.”
Jason and his wife, Kylie Kelce, supported Swift over the summer as they attended the artist’s Eras Tour show at London’s Wembley Stadium along with Travis.
Speaking of seeing the singer up close on and off the stage, he said, “I think that she’s built up such a fan base and a contingency and an amount of people that really, really just, like, love her that it’s really cool at the same time. I think what’s so impressive about her is it’s so self-controlled. Like, she’s so involved in all of it.”
