Stephen Curry sends Klay Thompson a message with epic trash talk video after hitting game winning shot

In Klay’s return to the bay the Mavericks lost to the Warriors.

Yesterday we witnessed one of the most emotional games of the season with Klay Thompson’s return to the Chase Center, but for the first time as a rival of the Golden State Warriors. Klay had a thank you video at the start of the game for being a part of the team for 13 years and playing a key role in securing 4 championships, but the celebration was overshadowed by his friend and host of the evening, Stephen Curry.

Curry Trash Talks Klay In Win

Steph Curry didn’t let anyone outside the team steal the spotlight, sorry Klay, and took control of the game with 37 points and 9 assists. But the most important moment was the shot that put the Mavericks to sleep, leaving them little time to respond. He also took the opportunity to trash talk Klay during the celebration. Watch as he sends a message to Klay by yelling “You better stay here”, and at the end, Draymond Green joins in, of course.

Klay was going to take up a lot of cap space for the Warriors, and after that last game where he finished with zero points and 0/10 FG, the best move for the Warriors was to cut him and start a gradual rebuild. Because even though Curry and Green are playing at a phenomenal level, I don’t think they have many years left. For now, three weeks into the season, the Warriors have looked phenomenal, except for the game against Cleveland, but they still lead the Western Conference and are playing great defense and his bench is stepping up when it counts.

Curry was the only player on the team to score over 16 points, while Klay had his best game of the season, obviously, with 22 points and 6 threes, proving that he feels right at home. Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 31 points and Kyrie Irving added 21 in the 120-117 loss. The Mavericks, who lost in The Finals last season, are now on a three-game losing streak. This game had the atmosphere of a playoff series, which would be great, imagine a game 6 in the Bay and see Klay just being Klay, would be awesome.
