Mahomes, 27, is already considered to be one of the top three QBs of all time
Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes made a list of the greatest quarterbacks to ever live and Tom Brady was obviously at the top, according to Complex. Some NFL fans, however, were not content with him placing Aaron Rodgers over Joe Montana, including Dov Kleiman of BroBible.
Mahomes, 27, is already considered to be one of the top three QBs to ever play, so his ranking means a lot, especially after winning his second Super Bowl.
“Having anyone not named Brady above Joe Montana is odd,” Kleiman wrote. “He was considered ‘The GOAT’ before Brady lapped him.”
Mahomes’ list goes: Brady, Peyton Manning, Rodgers, Montana, plus Dan Marino and John Elway tied for fifth place.
Montana won four Super Bowl trophies throughout his career with the San Francisco 49ers and earned three league MVP awards.
Aaron Rodgers not even top 10
Rodgers, 39, has four MVP awards to his name, but only one Super Bowl victory. Some fans questioned if the former Green Bay Packers QB would even be in the top 10 conversation.
Mahomes has previously stated that Rodgers is a huge inspiration for him and credits his playstyle to the New York Jets quarterback..
With that in mind, it’s clear to see why Mahomes ranked Rodgers so high, especially above the likes of Marino and Montana.
Mahomes addressed the media during the first day of offseason training on Wednesday and spoke about earning less money than what he deserves.
