Brief Comeback Fades as Calls Mount Against Tiger Woods’s Sun Day Red After Recent ‘Terrible’ Update

After being in the professional world of golf for almost three decades, it is safe to say that Tiger Woods knows what works and what does not. Accumulating his personal experience and knowledge of the game, he launched an apparel brand, Sun Day Red. Since the launch earlier this year, there have been several additions, from just selling golf clothes to adding Cashmere collections, other accessories, and women’s collections. Have the fans loved it all? They liked the women’s collection but that was all!

One thing SDR has been receiving backlash for is its expensive prices and very subpar quality. Woods’s brand also garnered a lot of criticism for its logo. People did not like it and found it absurd. The brand is also in a lawsuit with Tigeraire, who claimed that the former has hijacked its logo. Well, this is not stopping the 15x major winner from expanding his brand.

SDR recently launched a new set of accessories and golf kits called the Sun Day Red Vessel in collaboration with Vessel Golf. These are a limited edition collection of premium luxury golf bags, which include three bags, two of which are stand bags, and one is a traveling case to protect the golf clubs. They are made with pure leather and also have the unique detailing of the bag. The X Vessel leather Sunday III is $1100, and the X Vessel V 6-Way Stand Bag is $450.

The golf bag also has fifteen ᵴtriƥes on the leg and fifteen cross stitches, which represent the fifteen major titles he has won. NUCLR Golf took to their official X account and reported, “#LOOK: Tiger Woods brand Sun Day Red has a collab with Vessel Golf, featuring bags and accessories, with bags ranging from $450-USD 1100 and headcovers starting at $70. Will you be placing an order? @TWlegion”. They even posted pictures of the new products.

Well, as it turns out, the brand has once again received criticism for being too expensive by the golf community.

The golf community does not find the new logo appealing

The Sun Day Red was all about a Tiger and 15 ᵴtriƥes on their logo. But this time the new logo looked more like a skeletal tiger instead of a real one. And through some angles, it also looked like a copied sign of the Jaguar brand. At least that’s what the spectators thought, and the dislike towards the company went beyond the prices this time.

One of them took to this and commented, “Logo is terrible.” Another wrote, “No. Not a fan of the logo. They had many creative options with a Tiger brand and dropped the ball.”

While another mentioned a sarcastic comment. They stated how the driver would cost less than the cover of the club. And while it would surely be a dream to be able to carry it out, they would not opt for it. Taking to this, one of them wrote, “I’ve always wanted a $1,100 stand bag with a $100 driver head over to match both etched with a mediocre logo. But…it’s a no for me.”

The smaller bag costs a whopping $1100, and well, that is once again a little too much for a golf accessory. Similar to that of the $50 golf marker that Sun Day Red launched earlier in October. Taking to this, while one of them wrote, “When I take another mortgage,” another inquired, “Why is the smaller bag $1,100?”.

While another, in shock at the price of the stick cover, wrote, “Lololol $65 for the alignment stick cover, hahaha.” These are generally available for $20 to $25. What do you think about the new launch of the Sun Day Red brand? Let us know in the comments section below!
