As the Mahomes kids are growing up, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes are confronted with dilemmas. Earlier this year, Brittany shared how her son, Bronze, had a bad habit which the parents encouraged initially. “We started a bad habit with Bronze while on vacation.
We started letting him watch TV when eating literally just to keep him chill and not throw fits in public,” she shared. The kid was ready to eat anything without throwing a tantrum as long as the television entertained him. Broccoli. Chicken. Steak.
When Brittany realized her mistake, she took to social media and asked other parents how to break the habit. This led to several parents sharing their experiences with the same issue and some of them even advised the Mahomes to be firm and not give into any tantrums. After all, if Bronze is hungry enough, he will eat. Right?
“It did not go well,” shared Brittany in her next update. Now it seems Patrick Mahomes has noticed a somewhat similar pattern with his daughter, Sterling. Well, the QB was on the 96.5 The Fan’s ‘The Drive,’ podcast, where they talked about the holiday season and whether Mahomes got the opportunity to watch any Christmas movies yet. What did Mahomes say?
He stated: “I haven’t yet, you know. We have a busy schedule and I haven’t gotten to see any Christmas movies but wanna make sure to show some of the younger ones, for my kids…” But do the kids have a favorite Christmas movie?
“They’re too young. I mean, they don’t necessarily have one they love or not. But I think this year, my daughter is like, kind of getting into, like, TV shows. We try to keep her away from them, but she likes some. And so hopefully we can find some Christmas-spirited ones that she might like to watch.”

It’s clear that while his football s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s are top-notch, balancing fatherhood requires a whole different playbook. But with the holidays coming, he is determined to share some Christmas cheer with his little ones, hopefully through the magic of classic holiday specials. But the Mahomes family’s holiday adventures don’t stop at screen time. Brittany Mahomes, who always keeps it real on social media, shared her own parenting challenge.
Bronze’s Santa saga: A hilarious tale for the Mahomes
While Patrick Mahomes pondered over screen-time struggles, Brittany Mahomes had her own festive chaos. Taking their two-year-old son Bronze to see Santa didn’t go as planned.
Bronze was less than thrilled with the jolly old man. ‘The perfect Christmas photo with Santa’ didn’t go like one would have thought. Brittany shared the candid aftermath on Instagram on December 7. In one snap, Bronze sat smiling in a chair—far from Santa’s lap. “Of course, he was smiley and in a great mood once he wasn’t close to Santa 😂,” she joked.
Hey, one can’t blame the kid. While Bronze was still all smiles, some parents have had to deal with crying and wailing 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren on Santa’s lap. A Christmas photo not being perfect is a story every parent can relate to, isn’t it?
Brittany embraced the comedic reality of the holidays as a parent. And as the Mahomes family navigates these holiday hiccups, their bond shines through, promising more relatable moments to come. However, the Mahomes have more to celebrate. The couple is expecting their third 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 next year—a daughter. While Sterling already has experience being an older sister, Bronze will be an older sibling as well this time.
That being said, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes have been doing their best to give Sterling and Bronze a taste of early Christmas. On Monday, all four of them spent time at an ice skating rink. Brittany shared images of their outing on her Instagram stories. In the first image, Sterling Skye was seen wearing a white sweatsuit set while seated on a red toddler buggy on the ice. In the next photo, the kid was seen trying to skate with a bit of help.
In the third image, fans saw Patrick Mahomes walking hand-in-hand with both their kids. Bronze was seen wearing a white sweatsuit just like his sister. Later on, Brittany also shared an image of the four of them together.
This growing family continues to find joy amid NFL pressures and parenting hurdles. With a new kid on the way, the Mahomes crew is ready to take on 2024 with plenty of laughs and love. Regardless of how high the stakes are on the field, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes are busy cherishing the sweetest moments. What do you think?
