The Kansas City Chiefs won again, and this time it wasn’t dramatic — but it may come with a cost.
Patrick Mahomes limped off with an ankle injury following a nasty collision on a failed fourth down with less than eight minutes to go in the game.
Mahomes was subbed out for Chiefs backup and former Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback Carson Wentz, who went 2-for-2 passing in his cameo.

Mahomes also appeared to be on his way to receiving X-rays following the contest, in which the Chiefs beat the Browns 21-7, according to the Kansas City Star. The Chiefs said they believe Mahomes has a high ankle sprain.
“It’s not broken, it’s sore,” Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told reporters after the game of Mahomes’ ankle.
The Chiefs starter finished his outing an unspectacular 19-for-38 with 159 passing yards and two touchdowns as his team improved to 13-1, still in first place in the AFC.
The Chiefs have a slightly shorter week as they host the Texans on Saturday before heading to Pittsburgh on Christmas Day.
