According to a source who spoke with PEOPLE, the getaway was about the nuptials and some quality alone time for the pair.

“They attended a wedding but also had special alone time,” the source revealed, describing the trip as a “romantic” escape. “They seemed very happy.” Justin, 30, shared a glimpse of their sun-soaked weekend on Monday, December 16, when he posted an Instagram carousel of photos. The candid shots appeared to document their relaxed time together, featuring Hailey, 28, who looked as radiant as ever.

The Biebers’ sunny escape comes just weeks after a source shut down ongoing rumors about trouble in their marriage. Last month, an insider told the publication that the couple had brushed off any speculation and focused on their happiness. “They laugh at the constant divorce rumors,” the insider said. “It’s annoying but just noise.”

Justin and Hailey have continued to thrive in their relationship, celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary in September. The couple first tied the knot in an intimate courthouse ceremony in New York City in 2018, followed by a lavish celebration a year later in South Carolina with family and friends. They have a son.

Leaving the past in the past
