Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors suffered their worst loss of the year to the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday night at FedExForum after a 144-93 loss. The Warriors never found any rhythm after training 37-15 at the end of the first quarter. Curry couldn’t bail them out, either.
The two-time MVP only tallied two points in 21 minutes of action, failing to make a field goal on seven attempts, including six from 3-point range. He added three rebounds and an assist while finishing with a box +/- -41.
The Grizzlies continued piling on the Dubs’ misery and took a 57-point lead at one stage in a game they never trailed. Curry’s off night saw him face the music on NBA Twitter as the superstar faced the brunt of the criticism for the Warriors’ 12th loss, the ninth in 11 games.
One fan mocked Steph Curry, likening him to LeBron James’ son Bronny James.
“So can we all agree Bronny is better than Steph?”
One user compared Bronny James and Steph Curry’s stats over the past four games:
One fan compared him to the Brooklyn Nets’ version of Kevin Garnett:
“Imagine how bad it would be if LeBron did that?” another fan wrote.
“-41 is diabolical,” one fan said.
“RETIREMENT SOON,” another fan added.
