The Kansas City Chiefs are in the middle of three games in 11 days that fall in the heart of the holiday season. The busy schedule puts as much stress on the NFL players’ families as it does on their bodies, but the Mahomes family is making the most of it.
Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany surprised Instagram on Friday with photos of their kids, Bronze and Sterling, enjoying some early Christmas festivities while their dad is still around.
The Chiefs are playing on a short week at home on Saturday against the Houston Texans. The back-to-back Super Bowl champions follow that with a trip to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers just four days later on Christmas Day.

In 2023, the Chiefs also played on Christmas Day against the Las Vegas Raiders. Since it was in Kansas City, Brittany brought the kids to the game as a family, but Patrick lamented how it impacted the special holiday.
“I’m a little disappointed I’m going to miss Christmas Eve with my kids and Christmas morning and miss Santa coming,” he told Pro Football Talk before the game last year.
This year, they made sure to make some early Christmas memories that left smiles — and a little frosting — on the faces of their daughter Sterling, 3, and their son Bronze, 2.

“Absolutely loved their Christmas party today!!! @patrickmahomes,” Brittany wrote on her Instagram story.
The two-time NFL MVP reposted the story, which included an image of Bronze and Sterling in matching Grinch pajamas.

“And of course we matched,” Brittany said in the next slide, showing off her matching Grinch outfit to her 2.1 million Instagram followers.
On Mother’s Day in 2023, Brittany wrote a post on Instagram emphasizing that being a mother is a main part of her “purpose,” meaning that any day with Bronze and Sterling could be special if spent together. It was a mindset reflected in their makeshift Christmas memories.
“These two have impacted my life and I cherish every last second with them,” she said. “They make all my days the best days.”
