Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas may not have announced their plans to expand their family, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t hints.

On January 21, the couple, who have been married since 2018, shared some happy news on Instagram. “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 via surrogate,” Chopra wrote. “We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family.” Jonas shared the same message on his own account.

While this may have come as a complete surprise to fans, one TikTok user couldn’t help but remember one moment from the Jonas Brothers Family Roast, which they claim makes a lot more sense in retrospect.

In the video clip shared by @nayleamunguia, Chopra is in the middle of making a joke about the Jonas family dynamics, when her delivery seemingly catches all three brothers by surprise. “When I first saw it, their reactions didn’t really make any sense to me,” Munguia says. “But now that, obviously, they had a surrogate and no one knew, it just makes more sense—their faces when she makes this joke.”

When the TikTok user hits play on the Netflix special, Chopra says, “We’re the only couple who doesn’t have kids yet. Which is why I’m excited to make this announcement. Nick and I are expecting….”

Throughout Chopra’s bit, Munguia pauses on each brothers’ nervous face as they likely believe she’s about to spill the big secret. See for yourself:

Of course, Priyanka Chopra did not use that moment to reveal that she and Nick Jonas were preparing to welcome their first 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 via surrogate. Here’s the full joke from Jonas Brothers Family Roast:
