‘Now I have a beautiful almost-11-month-old boy, but I was pregnant when I made The Witches, so technically he’s all over that performance,’ she said.
Anne joked with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest that costume designer Joanna Johnston had to be crafty as she maneuvered her character’s clothing.
‘She goes, “I really want you to have a really tight waist.” And I had just found out I was pregnant and I was like, “Mmm, no. No, I don’t think so. No,”‘ she said. ‘And she was like, “Well, why?” And I was like, “Eh, you know, I just know myself.” I’m scrambling for a reason.’

Anne takes on the starring role from the 1983 book, which was previously played by Anjelica Huston, 69, in the iconic 1990 film.
‘I just know myself and I know that I won’t be as free,’ she said. ‘I won’t be as free if I’m constrained around my middle, so we just better make everything very loose.’
She told People earlier this month what went into making their version of the fabulous 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren’s book villainess.
‘She is such a weirdo — so silly and over the top — and everyone had to work together to be on the same page so it felt big and entertaining but never too much’
‘The Grand High Witch was a total collaboration between costumes, hair and make-up, the writers, my dialect coach, the effects department, stunts, [director] Bob Zemeckis and myself.

Back at home, Anne admitted that all is well with her two 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren with husband Adam Schulman.
‘No coping, just love,’ she said of her oldest son Jonathan adjusting to being a big brother. ‘Now Jack’s big enough to wrestle with, and that’s brought a new element to their relationship that’s really cute.’
