After divorcing Kanye West, Kim Kardashian cried every night because she had to raise her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 alone.

In a recent podcast, “On Purpose with Jay Shetty,” Kim Kardashian opened up about the challenges of raising her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren as a single mother after her split from Kanye West. The reality TV star currently has four young 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren with Kanye West: North (9), Saint (7), Chicago (5), and Psalm (4). After the divorce, the two stars shared custody of the 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren, but Kim remained the primary caregiver.

Kim Kardashian confided: “Raising 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren is what has taught me the most about myself. It’s the hardest thing. There are nights when I cry myself to sleep. There are days when I wonder what just happened? With four 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren with four different personalities, I always have to play both the gentle mother and the strict mother.”

Kim Kardashian says that being mentally prepared for motherhood is not enough. “Your life is turned upside down,” the SKIMS founder said. “But raising 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren teaches you more about yourself than I or any parent could ever imagine. There have been times when I haven’t washed my hair in days, have been spit on, and have worn the same pajamas, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

However, the star said that raising 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren helped her discover many things about herself: “You will be so proud of yourself when you find a way to manage everything and get through a long, busy day. Being a mother is the most challenging and rewarding job on the planet,” she said, affirming that she loves being a mother more than any other job.
