The Los Angeles Dodgers star revealed the good news with a heart-warming post on Instagram over the weekend.

Ohtani, 30, upload snaps of a pink 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 grow, tiny sneakers, an ultrasound and the family dog Decoy.
He captioned it: “Can’t wait for the little rookie to join our family soon!”
Ohtani and his pregnant wife Mamiko Tanaka keep their relationship out of the spotlight.
Mamiko, 28, is a former basketball player in the couple’s homeland of Japan.
The duo tied the knot earlier this year in a secret ceremony.
Ohtani did not initially reveal who he had married before finally confirming it was Mamiko.
The exciting family news comes at the end of a stunning year for the man nicknamed Shotime.
He signed a ten-year contract with the Dodgers worth a record $700million and fired them to World Series glory.
Ohtani, who has recently undergone surgery on his shoulder, also won his third Most Valuable Player award.
It made him the first ever player in Major League Baseball history to win three MVP awards unanimously and the first to win it unanimously twice in a row.
