For Jane Agostino, owner of Stamford’s Lakeside Diner, things are pretty quiet in the winter at the restaurant on the banks of the Holts Ice Pond.
However, a “little burst of sunshine” swept through her diner on Tuesday when model and reality TV star Kendall Jenner stopped into the Lakeside Diner.
“It was surreal. It was fantastic. It was just what we needed at this time,” Agostino told CT Insider. “They couldn’t have been more pleasant and they loved everything that they had.”
Jenner and her guests, which included photographer Renell Medrano, stayed for a little over an hour. The group went to the diner on the last day of New York Fashion Week. Jenner ordered the Western omelet and some pancakes, Agostino said.
“As soon as she walked in, I knew it was her,” Agostino said, adding that nobody approached Jenner and her table while she was dining. “People came in and didn’t even know that it was her.”
Agostino said she recalls talking to a third member of her party, who she didn’t grab the name of. This individual told Agostino that they had previously been to the diner. “I just love this place. I wanted to bring her here,” Agistino recalls what the person told her.
The model and “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star was in the area for New York Fashion Week, during which she walked the runway for Calvin Klein’s autumn/winter 2025 runway show on Feb. 7. According to People, this was the first New York Fashion Week show from Calvin Klein since 2018.
