Kylie Jenner didn’t join boyfriend Timothée Chalamet at the 2025 SAG Awards amid the news that her longtime hairstylist passed away suddenly.
Jesus Guerrero tragically died at age 34, as was revealed in a GoFundMe set up by his sister, Gris, on Feb. 22. In addition to Jenner, with whom he regularly appeared at high-profile events, his other famous clients have included Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, Rosalía, Jessica Alba, Demi Moore and Jennifer Lopez.
“It is with a heavy heart that we let the world know that Jesus Guerrero has gone to heaven,” Guerrero’s sister wrote on the GoFundMe page. “He is a son, a brother, an uncle, an artist, a friend, and so much more. Born and raised in Houston, TX to immigrant parents, Jesus learned how to work hard and dreamt of taking his s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s to the top.”
“Unfortunately, his passing came very suddenly and unexpectedly. Currently, his family is taking care of his personal belongings and accommodations to bring him home to Houston.”
Jenner has not spoken about Guerrero’s death but was noticeably absent as Chalamet stepped out to celebrate his Best Actor nomination for his role in Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown. Jenner, who has been dating Chalamet since early 2023, has yet to appear with him on a red carpet but has sat by his side at several recent award shows including the BAFTAs and Golden Globes.
After news of Guerrero’s passing became public, several of his former colleagues shared their grief online.
“2•22, one of Gods most Beautiful Angels has just opened his wings and flew to join him in heaven, and watch over me,” Jenner’s makeup artist, Ariel Tejada, wrote on his Instagram. “Last night I experienced the most painful, breath taking pain I have ever felt when I found out you left us @jesushair. Family is not always just assigned at 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 sometimes they are chosen and you were my chosen family.”
“Our hearts will never be the same,” fellow hairstylist and longtime member of the Kardashian-Jenner family’s glam squad, Jen Atkin, wrote on her Instagram Stories. “Such as loving light and talent that we lost too soon.”
“As I try to make sense of this, all I can think to do is help his mother’s grieving heart in this moment,” she wrote. I love you Jesus and I hope you’re witnessing all of the tears we’re all crying.”
