God of War
The God of War franchise has been at the center of Hollywood speculation for years, with countless fan-casts and rumored projects floating around. Now, new reports suggest that a live-action adaptation might finally be gaining traction—and none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is allegedly in consideration to play Kratos.
Sony and Amazon have already confirmed that a God of War television series is in the works, with The Wheel of Time showrunner Rafe Judkins leading the project. The series, expected to follow the Norse-era storyline from God of War (2018), is said to focus on Kratos and his son Atreus, navigating the brutal world of Norse mythology.
However, recent speculation suggests that Sony might also be exploring a separate live-action film adaptation focused on the original Greek saga, and that Dwayne Johnson is among the names rumored for the lead role. While no official announcement has been made, sources claim that early discussions have taken place regarding a potential big-screen version of Kratos’ Spartan origins and his war against the Olympian gods.
