As time marches on, we reflect on the legacy of the talented actors who brought its unforgettable characters to life, many of whom have sadly passed away. In this tribute, we remember 26 beloved cast members whose contributions to the show continue to resonate with fans.

Hillary Mason, who portrayed Eleth, captivated viewers with her chilling performance. Born on September 4, 1917, she was best known for her role in “Don’t Look Now.” Mason passed away on September 5, 2006, at the age of 89. Meanwhile, Dame Hyman, known for her quirky elderly roles, including a memorable appearance in “Doctor Who,” died on June 3, 2021, at 91.

Other notable figures include Anthony Sher, who played the eccentric Mr. Prothro, and Tim Brook-Taylor, beloved for his role as Derk. Sher, a respected stage actor, passed away in December 2021, while Brook-Taylor succumbed to complications from COVID-19 in April 2020, leaving behind a rich legacy in British comedy.

Doreen Mantle, who played the well-meaning Mrs. Warboys, passed away recently on August 9, 2023, at 96. Michael Robbins, known for his portrayal of the irate neighbor, left us in December 1992, while Roy Hudd, who played Mr. Smedley, died in March 2020, highlighting the show’s enduring connection to its audience through humor and relatable misfortunes.
