Battlestar Galactica (1978) Cast: Then and Now, What Happened To The Cast After 47 Years?

Hatch reprised his role in the 2004 reboot and continued acting and writing until his death from pancreatic cancer on February 7, 2017, at age 71.

Durk Benedict, š›šØš«š§ March 1, 1945, played the charming Lieutenant Starbuck. After “Battlestar Galactica,” he found further success in “The A-Team,” and as of 2025, he is 80 and remains a respected figure in television.

Commander Adama, portrayed by the late Lorne Greene, was the wise leader of the fleet. Greene, who was 63 when he began the role, passed away in 1987 at 72. His character’s strength and compassion made him a beloved figure, guiding humanity in their darkest hours.

Herbert Jefferson Jr. played Lieutenant Boomer and has maintained an active career in the entertainment industry at 78. Loretta Swit transitioned from socialite Cassiopeia to medtech, enjoying a quiet life at 73 while occasionally attending conventions.

Other notable cast members include John Colicos as Count Baltar, who passed away in 2000, and Noah Hathaway, who played young Boxy and later starred in “The NeverEnding Story.” Hathaway is now 53, balancing occasional acting with martial arts and tattoo artistry.
