Santana was tragically 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ed in a targeted shooting at the young age of 26 in 2002. Another notable loss is Ethel Ayer, who portrayed Carrie Hanks, Cliff Huxtable’s mother-in-law, known for her elegance and wisdom. She passed away in 2018 at the age of 88.

Michelle Thomas, who played Justine Phillips, the loving girlfriend of Theo Huxtable, also left us too soon, succumbing to a rare form of stomach cancer in 1998 at just 30 years old. Earl Heyman, known for his role as Cliff’s father, Russell Huxtable, passed away in 2017 at the age of 91, while Ron Foster, who played Herb Temple, died in 2015 at 85.

The impact of the show extended beyond its comedic moments; it introduced a range of characters who represented various aspects of life and culture.
