Shohei Ohtani hit his MLB-leading 17th home run of the season in the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 9-5 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday.
Ohtani’s solo shot to left field, his first homer in three games and 10th in May, came against Brandon Pfaadt in the sixth inning at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers have lost four straight games for the first time this season.

The reigning National League MVP finished 1-for-4 on the night, grounding out twice and flying out in his other at-bats.
The D-backs jumped out to a 7-0 lead over the first three innings. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and Gabriel Moreno each hit two-run homers in the third.
Mookie Betts had a pair of solo home runs for the Dodgers.

Among other Japanese players, New York Mets pitcher Kodai Senga (4-3) gave up three runs and five hits in six innings in a 3-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox.
The right-hander struck out five and walked three in a 100-pitch outing at Fenway Park. Senga still has an NL-best 1.43 ERA.
