Kane is top of their transfer wish list
Manchester United have issued an ultimatum to Harry Kane as they make a last-ditch attempt to try and sign the forward.
Kane is high on the club’s transfer wish list as Erik ten Hag looks to add an out and out striker to his ranks to build on their top four finish last season.
Despite securing a Champions League spot United lacked in goals, apart from Marcus Rashford.
One stumbling block may prove to be Tottenham’s asking price for Kane, which is believed to be in the region of £100m, even though the forward’s contract expires at the end of the season.
There were some reports suggesting that United would walk away from the deal but the Sun have claimed that the Red Devils have told Kane to force through the move by putting in a transfer request.
United are said to be confident that Kane wants to make the move to Old Trafford however they don’t feel that any negotiation will take place unless Kane himself pushes to leave..
Ten Hag may have to wait to conduct any deals until the club’s ongoing takeover saga. The Dutchman is reportedly growing increasingly frustrated by the talks as the Glazer family refuse to authorise any deals until it is resolved.
