Victor Wembanyama, Brandon Miller, And Other Rookies All Want To Dunk On LeBron James

The 2023 NBA Draft class has generated a lot of buzz, with many fans expecting this class to go down as one of the best ever.

Headlined by Victor Wembanyama, one of the most hyped prospects in recent history, the rest of the class also contains some amazing players. But it appears many of the rookies are united by the same goal – dunking on LeBron James.

At the 2023 NBA Draft, reporters asked several rookies, including Victor Wembanyama, Brandon Miller, Scoot Henderson, and others who they want to dunk on in the NBA. Most rookies named LeBron as their ideal dunk recipient, with some even naming LeBron’s Lakers teammate Anthony Davis as someone they would like to up against.

Considering many of the players in the 2023 NBA Draft class grew up watching and idolizing LeBron James, it comes as no surprise that they want to get the better of The King. James has dominated the NBA for the entire lifespan of multiple players in the league, so wanting to use James as a measuring stick is not at all surprising.

LeBron James Has A Target On His Back

LeBron James, entering his 21st season, when he turns 39 years old, is still one of the best players in the league. The fact that LeBron is one of the oldest players in the league and is still playing at an elite level is truly phenomenal. But that also means that he has a target on his back.

James has a legacy, unlike any other player in the league. And as a result, many players, old and young, want to make a name for themselves by getting the better of LeBron James. Wembanyama spoke about the possibility of facing LeBron James, saying that it would be a challenge.

James averaged 29.8 points last season, but he and the Lakers got embarrassed by the Nuggets. LeBron will want to come back and make a statement, by pushing the Lakers back to championship contention.
