After giving 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 to the first set of 𝓈ℯ𝓍tuplets in Columbus, the McGhee family moved to a new residence. In June, Mia and Rozonno McGhee welcomed their six 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren. The endearing six-year-old McGhee 𝓈ℯ𝓍tuplets from Ohio are celebrating their sixth 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day. Remember their ubiquitous family portrait from 2010? Four adorable sons and two adorable daughters snoozing on their father… Pretty impossible to forget. Now, six years later, the same photographer and studio have recreated the image. The outcomes are positively charming! The image below was posted on Facebook and completely captivated the souls of millions of people. It depicts the father, mother, and their six 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren.
Olivia, Madison, Rozonno Jr., Josiah, Elijah, and Isaac, as well as their parents, are featured in a new UP program entitled Growing Up McGhee, which debuted yesterday. It focuses on how parents Rozonno and Mia juggle caring for their 𝓈ℯ𝓍tuplets with the demands of their family’s carpet and upholstery cleaning business. How much effort do the parents need to expend to keep up with these 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren? I am impressed and wish them the best of luck. They questioned how they could afford such a large family. But regardless of what transpired, love would serve as their foundation. To demonstrate their affection, they posed for this endearing photo with Rozonno Jr., Olivia, Madison, Elijah, Issac, and Josiah. However, the family’s fortunes began to improve after the photo went viral. It attracted Oprah Winfrey’s attention, and she invited them to her program. Mia and Rozonno’s belated honeymoon in Las Vegas was funded by her gift of a Wal-Mart gift card worth $250,000 upon their arrival.
This appearance inspired a generous outpouring. Soon, complete strangers offered to donate diapers and pay for car seats. The McGhees were eventually forced to send folks away. The situation only improved from there. The family ultimately received their own reality program entitled 6 Little McGhees. It broadcast on the Oprah Winfrey Network and chronicled the family as the 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren grew and the parents juggled their responsibilities.
Throughout the series, cameras document the tender moments, pandemonium, good times, and tantrums as a smattering of volunteers join Mia and Ro, including Ro’s mother (also known as Miss Charmyne), to care for the six growing 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren, Josiah, Madison, Olivia, Issac, Rozonno Jr., and Elijah. Every step of the way, from doctor visits to church services to the 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren’s second 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day celebration, the McGhees demonstrate that “it takes a village” to raise their unique family and that love can surmount obstacles. However, the McGhee household is not constantly overflowing with happiness. Mia and Ro, who do not always see eye to eye, disagree on how to run their carpet cleaning business and must learn to take time for themselves to maintain the energy in their relationship.
Even better, Rozonno’s business expanded, enabling the McGhees to buy a larger residence. He stated, “You’d be surprised at what 𝓈ℯ𝓍tuplets can do for you — they really motivated me.” The 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren were able to grow up completely joyful and healthy. The McGhees desired to do something special to commemorate their family’s growth over the previous six years. Therefore, they recreated their iconic photo.
