Hi everybody
We continue to discover for you. Our tiny house on today’s tour is from Anacortes, Washington, USA.
Newly built tiny house finished in June 2015. Master loft sleeps 2 on the memory foam Queen mattress. Small loft has a foldout single-sleeper foam pad that fits a shorter-sized adult which we make up into a bed upon request, otherwise it remains a reading/lounge area with no sheets. Kitchen has a large toaster oven, (can fit a pizza) 2 burner cook top, all cooking utensils you’ll need, small fridge, eating nook, couch, bathroom, TV w/DVD & Netflix, outdoor patio, fire pit, bbq & more!
Queen memory foam mattress is located in main loft, and there is a single sleeper foam pad in the smaller reading-nook loft. This single sleeping spot will only be made up into a bed with sheets for a rental of two people IF REQUESTED beforehand. Otherwise it will be set up for lounging and reading during your stay, as we will assume the 2 guests are sharing queen bed. Kitchen has a mini fridge with a freezer, 2 burner stove top, toaster oven, coffee maker, french press and all the plates, pots & pans, silverware and mugs needed to make and enjoy your meals. We also have some spices, condiments and cooking extras in the kitchen that you are free to use. Couch and small dining area for two also located on main floor with kitchen. Propane BBQ, picnic table and fire pit (bring your own wood or sometimes we have extra to sell) on patio outside. A few different bikes are available to use during your stay, if you want to explore and walk or pedal around the island and they are located in the grey and green Rubbermaid shed near the tiny house along with bike pump and helmets.
There is also a small store at the Guemes Island Resort on the North tip of the island, that sells beer, wine, and alcohol, and limited food items (like frozen pizzas!) It is open daily from 9 – 7pm and is a 15 minute drive from the Tiny house.
Before you arrive you will receive your personal key code to use during your stay to lock and unlock the front door as you come and go immediately after booking, so make sure to read your follow up email upon completion with many details about directions to tiny house and check-in.
This tiny house is also a makers house, featuring curated items made from artists and craftsman. It is a unique way to showcase handmade goods that you can use and admire during your stay. We have a notebook filled with info on where to find them online and in stores if you wish to purchase any for yourself.
Guemes island is a wonderful place to explore. Walk, hike, ride your bike, or enjoy fantastic beach walks. It’s a great place to enjoy nature. There are many eagles and deer to see, and the smell of ocean air is all around you.
