Actor Brad Pitt sued his ex-wife Angelina Jolie for selling her shares in the French wine estate, Chateau Miraval, to Russian businessman Yuri Shefler, the owner of a Luxembourg-based spirits producer.
The Hollywood power couple bought the Chateau Miraval estate in 2008 for $28.3 million. This is also where the two held their wedding in 2014 in the presence of their adopted and biological đ€đ©đȘđđ„ren. According to Brad Pitt, they agreed not to sell shares of the land without the consent of the other person. Photo: Thebridestorypro

The entire 4.05 square kilometer estate is located in the Provence village of Correns and is equipped with everything one would expect in a celebrity home. Miraval has a number of architectural works dating back to the 17th century, such as a medieval European-style chapel, pine forest, lake, olive grove, etc. Photo: Vineyardbrands / Instagram
The main house is quite tall, has 35 rooms and is equipped with a spa, gym, theater, indoor swimming pool, outdoor swimming pool and even a helipad. Photo: Goodtravel_by_winebureu / Instagram
The Chateau Miraval estate boasts a natural environment with elements such as soil, topography and climate ideal for organic farming. The grounds have thousands of oak trees that promote the growth of truffles and hundreds of honeycombs. In addition, there are also 3,000 olive trees that produce an abundance of oil. An area of 0.6 square kilometers is used to grow grapes such as Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah. Photo: Miraval / Instagram
Miraval’s land is plowed into the shape of dry terraces. Each vineyard sits at an average altitude of 350m, a perfect position to create balance, harmony and freshness. Photo: Seb06miraval / Instagram
This estate was once the residence of the nobility, in the 15th century, the private residence of Prince Orsini of the kingdom of Naples when he attended court meetings in France. The site remained in the possession of the Orsini family for the next four centuries. Pictured is a stone dating to Miraval. Photo: Vineyardbrands.com
The place was first used as a winery in the 1850s thanks to the construction of the cellar by owner Joseph-Louis Lombot. In the late 1970s, Jacques Loussier took ownership of the property and maintained the winemaking operation. Photo: Moestue / Instagram
Loussier is a French pianist who built a recording studio on the estate. Several artists such as Sting, AC/DC and Pink Floyd have all used this studio to produce their songs. The studio has a ceiling height of 7.6m and a living room of 320m2, with a separate recording studio and a space containing rare equipment. Photo: Cyril_sommelier / Instagram
In December 2021, Architectural Digest reported that Brad Pitt was working on a studio renovation with French producer Damien Quintard. The actor’s plan is to preserve the existing room, install more control panels, workstations and recording booths, and equip the Dolby Atmos sound system and other new technologies. According to Decanter, they are already taking reservations to open the studio this summer. Photo: Winespector
