Kim Kardashian labeled ‘out of touch’ for lavish Skims holiday campaign after presidential election

Kim Kardashian has been labeled “out of touch” for debuting her lavish Skims holiday campaign one day after former President Donald Trump was confirmed the winner of the 2024 presidential election.

The festive ad video features Goldie Hawn and her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson, along with their respective kids and partners, all wearing the clothing brand’s matching pajama sets.

Kate was joined by her fiancé, Danny Fujikawa, and their 6-year-old daughter, Rani. The actress’ two sons, Ryder, 20, and Bingham, 13, from her previous relationships were also involved.

Meanwhile, Oliver’s wife, Erinn Bartlett, modeled the holiday-themed sleepwear along with their sons, Wilder, 17, and Bodhi, 14, and their daughter, Rio, 11.

Fans are slamming Kim Kardashian for posting her lavish Skims holiday campaign one day after the 2024 presidential election.

The famous family was seen happily dancing around a grand dining room while passing around desserts, plus mingling in a kitchen fully stocked with lobster, shrimp and other fancy fare.

However, the luxurious set design and the timing of the promotion didn’t sit well with some people.

“Girl please. Completely out of touch,” one upset fan commented on Instagram Thursday.

The ad stars Goldie Hawn and her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson with their respective families in matching pajama sets.

The uni𝓈ℯ𝓍 sleepwear retails for $120, while a similar set is priced at $90.

“Love you kim, but this is not the time,” another added.

A third person suggested the “Kardashians” star, 44, should “read the room,” while a fourth person chimed in, “Tone deaf as always.”

“Meanwhile most people can’t afford Groceries 😢,” another disheartened user wrote.

One upset user called Kardashian “tone deaf” for the timing, while another wrote, “This is not the time.”

“Meanwhile most people can’t afford Groceries 😢,” a third person commented on Instagram.

Though Skims advertises the family pajamas as “matching lounge sets for the ultimate holiday card,” the price point is not exactly cheap.

The adult Uni𝓈ℯ𝓍 Sleep Set retails for $120 on the brand’s website, while the Long Sleep Set costs $90.

The matching Baby Onesie and the Kids Sleep Set are priced at $28 and $38, respectively.

Page Six reached out to Kardashian’s rep for comment on the backlash.
