Ohtani, 30, upload snaps of a pink 饾憦饾憥饾憦饾懄 grow, tiny sneakers, an ultrasound and the聽family dog Decoy.
He captioned it: “Can鈥檛 wait for the little rookie to join our family soon!”
Ohtani and his pregnant wife聽Mamiko Tanaka聽keep their relationship out of the spotlight.
Mamiko, 28, is a former聽basketball聽player in the couple’s homeland of Japan.
The duo tied the knot earlier this year in a聽secret ceremony.
Ohtani did not initially reveal who he had married before finally confirming it was Mamiko.
The exciting family news comes at the end of a stunning year for the man nicknamed Shotime.
He signed a ten-year contract with the Dodgers worth a record $700million and fired them to World Series glory.
Ohtani, who has recently聽undergone surgery聽on his shoulder, also won his third Most Valuable Player award.
It made him the first ever player in聽Major League Baseball聽history to win three MVP awards unanimously and the first to win it unanimously twice in a row.
