Allen Iverson is one of the most beloved players in the history of the NBA. Iverson was a game-changer, who put on incredible performances on a regular basis, thus establishing himself as a fan favorite. But Iverson could step up even when he wasn’t feeling 100%, as Gilbert Arenas revealed in an incredible story.
In an episode of his podcast, Gilbert Arenas shared one of his favorite stories of Allen Iverson. Arenas talked about seeing Allen Iverson attend a club party in Washington D.C, and get carried out of the club after going hard. He then turned on the TV the next night to see Iverson drop 48 points while playing for the 76ers.
“Watching him one night get carried out the club in DC. This is like a Tuesday night, DC popping. Woo! Good club, Allen Iverson. Wednesday, watching the Philly game, 48! Jesus Christ.”

Iverson loved a good time and always enjoyed being able to socialize and have a good time. But he never let that stop him from playing some incredible basketball on the court. Iverson was a superstar in the league during his prime, and it was because of his incredible talent that he was able to overcome the challenges of being an undersized player in the league.

Allen Iverson will never be forgotten by NBA fans. Whether it be his spectacular showings on the court or his presence off the court, Iverson is looked at as a cultural icon, one that transcended the sport of basketball at times and became a household name for the NBA.
A teammate of Iverson’s once shared a hilarious story of how he paid a Celtics ball boy $2000 to get him a beer, only to see that the ball boy got him a small amount and kept the rest for himself. Iverson let it go, as he was just happy to have something for himself on the bus.
