A micro-preemie infant female has miraculously survived 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡. She was so petite that her father’s wedding band could easily be worn as an enormous bracelet.

Ebony Bender was confined to the hospital after an ultrasound revealed that her daughter Kallie was undersized. According to the hospital, there was also a paucity of fluid surrounding the infant due to a condition known as absent end diastolic F. She was delivered prematurely after only 25 weeks, weighed 13 ounces, and was shorter than a Barbie figurine, according to reports. However, what Kallie lacked in stature, she more than made up for in tenacity and resolve. She prevailed despite the fact that her father’s wedding band wrapped around her arm like an oversized bracelet!

As one of the smallest infants ever 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 in Arizona, Kallie defied the prognosis of her physicians, who warned her parents that she may not survive. Kallie Bender was hospitalized for 150 days after she was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 15 weeks prematurely. She remarked that Ebonie’s 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 was “scarred.” It was so distant from the unknown.” After her 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡, Kallie relied on a breathing machine for several weeks. She was intubated and required training on how to feed.

In addition to being a micro-preemie, Kallie also endured a successful cardiac operation for a patent ductus arteriosus, a common heart defect among infants 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 as prematurely as she was. Now weighing a robust 7 pounds, Kallie is flourishing. Mom Mrs Bender ᴄᴏuʟᴅɴ’t be pleased. She added, “She’s a spirited young lady. It is unpleasant to depart. However, she is an incredible little survivor, and I cannot wait to see what kind of personality she contributes to our family.” At five months old, Kallie has been discharged from the Phoenix hospital and medical center of dignified health St. Joseph.

Kallie will continue to require an oxygen canister and a feeding device for the foreseeable future. Bender states that departing is bittersweet, but she is eager to bring her daughter home. Mom Ebonie Bender stated, “We’ve come so far, and I’m going to miss seeing the personalities I see every day when I come here.

But it’s nice that I no longer have to make this commute. I could not be more appreciative of the physicians and our three primary nurses. They took such excellent care of Kallie every day they were here because they adore her.
