The internet considers Anne Hathaway a hypocrite after she criticizes the fixation with age

Anne Hathaway, in a recent interview, spoke about her views on ageing and how it’s very personal for everyone. Her comment was not well-received by the people and some even called her a hypocrite.

Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway recently shared her views on ageing and postpartum body expectations in an interview with People. She also mentioned how ageing is very personal for everyone. However, it did not go down well with a certain section of people on the internet.

ANNE HATHAWAY TALKS ABOUT AGEING BEING PERSONAL

Anne Hathaway, who will be next seen in ‘She Came To Me’ along with Marisa Tomei and Pete Dinklage, recently opened up about her idea of ageing and how people shouldn’t be too obsessed with it.

The ‘Les Miserables’ actress, in a recent interview with People, said,”Ageing is just another word for living. And what you do with it from there is personal and up to you. I feel great — I feel better than I did in my twenties because I take much better care of myself. In my 30s, I had to give up alcohol. I couldn’t do it anymore. I couldn’t lead the life that I wanted while drinking. And in my 40s, I’m finding I have to support myself differently nutritionally.”

She also addressed the pressure on women to quickly regain their pre-pregnancy bodies. “It takes three years for your body to fully recover from a pregnancy. I didn’t snap back. I want to be very, very clear about that. With my second, it took every minute of those three years. Let your body be a body. There’s nowhere to get to. It’s just now. Be present and take care of yourself and don’t set expectations,” she stated.

However, her statements met with backlash on Instagram, with users accusing her of hypocrisy for allegedly using botox and fillers. An Instagram user wrote, “Hysterical coming from someone that had so many facial cosmetic surgeries to stay young (sic).”
