Brittany Mahomes—who is expecting 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 No. 3 with husband Patrick Mahomes—revealed she has achieved a major feat at the gym amid her recovery from a fractured back.
Brittany Mahomes has scored a touchdown when it comes to her recovery.
Five months after revealing she fractured her back, the former soccer player—who announced she’s expecting 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 No. 3 with husband Patrick Mahomes in July—shared that she’s taken a major step in her healing process.
“First time to back squat in probably like over a year since dealing with my back injury,” Brittany wrote in an Aug. 19 Instagram Story. “Felt sooooo good!”
Alongside the message, the 28-year-old—who also shares daughter Sterling, 3, and Patrick “Bronze,” 20 months, with Patrick—reposted videos from her trainers Kirsty Rae and Betina Gozo Shimonek of her performing the exercise in a matching orange workout set.
And her instructors were equally as impressed by her progress, with Betina writing atop her own Story, “So proud of how hard you keep working, even during pregnancy and with two kids!”
As for Kirsty, she noted that the milestone was the result of being consistent, explaining, “Months of hard work with @betinogozo and I focusing on pelvic floor/ deep core, she steadily and safely got here today with zero pain.”
Brittany first shared that she fractured her back in March, when she was vacationing with her family. The Sports Illustrated Swim model said the injury came from pelvic floor complications, which often result from 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 and can manifest as lower back pain, loss of bladder control and more symptoms, according to University of Utah Health.

“Just your daily reminder: Once you have kids please take care of your pelvic floor. Seriously,” Brittany quipped on Instagram at the time. “From: A girl with a fractured back.”
And while Brittany may just be getting back into squats, she made her return to the gym a while ago.
“I’m finally fully recovered and back to doing the things that I’ve always been able to do,” Brittany told E! News in May. “I’m staying on top of my health.”
