Bronny was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 in 2004 and plays the No. 1 position – point guard. He will participate in the NBA Draft this year, 2024.
Meanwhile, Bryce was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 in 2007 and plays the No. 2 position – shooting guard. Bryce is currently playing basketball for Sierra Canyon High School.
Bronny James Review
Bronny is a player who is rated higher than Bryce when he was the same age. According to the RSCI rankings, Bronny is the 17th most talented player in his generation. He is highly regarded for his shooting ability and especially his defense. Defensive s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s are the highlight that LeBron’s eldest son has shown since his high school days at Sierra Canyon.
Bronny is not a player with good offensive s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s like his father. He is a point guard who tends to distribute the ball and create for his teammates. Bronny’s physicality at that time could be compared to some players in the NBA.
However, Bronny’s development was slowed down after a health incident last year. He went into cardiac arrest before the start of the season. After returning, Bronny has not been able to regain his best form. He only scored an average of 4.8 points per game with a shooting efficiency of 36.6% and 26.7% from the 3-point line. That poor performance significantly reduced Bronny’s chances of going to the NBA.
Bronny is considered a “3&D” player (3-point shooting and defense), but his height of 1m86 is an obstacle that prevents him from guarding the “big men” of his opponents. His ineffective shooting ability is also a problem that makes many scouts not rate Bronny too highly.
Despite those concerns, Bronny still has a chance to be selected because of what he showed in high school. However, Bronny’s position in the 2024 NBA Draft will be low, only in the last rounds of the 2nd round.
Bryce James Review
Bryce just finished his third year at Sierra Canyon as a point guard. Scouts rate Bryce at just 3/5 stars. 247 Sports rates him as the 148th-ranked player in his class. According to ESPN, Bryce is the 22nd-ranked player in the state of California and outside the top 100 nationally.
Bronny is often in the top 50 of his age group, while Bryce is much less so. He doesn’t have the physicality of his brother, but is considered better suited to the NBA. Bryce is still young and needs time for his body to fully develop. Bryce began to develop rapidly in high school, both technically and physically. Bryce has had good games against some of the top players in his class, most notably Cameron Boozer, the No. 2 prospect in the Class of 2007.
Playing as a shooting guard, Bryce has the ability to make three-point shots with great efficiency. He is a good three-point shooter and also a good defender. Bryce has many ways to create shooting opportunities for himself and his teammates. Bryce’s height of 6’3″ also fits the NBA’s physical requirements better than Bronny, who is only 6’1″.
When comparing the two brothers, Bronny is the one with a greater chance of making it to the NBA. However, Bryce is the player with more potential, his s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 set has more room to develop than his brother. However, Bryce needs to work very hard to develop to his potential.
