Jason Kelce has been told to cut his brother Travis some slack after posting a 10-word message to the Chiefs tight end which has left some fans on social media baffled
Jason Kelce’s message to his brother Travis on social media has left many fans baffled with the context of the tweet unclear to some.
The Philadelphia Eagles icon took to X to joke about Travis’ role in Ryan Murphy’s crime horror show ‘Grotesquerie’. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is making his acting debut, not including when he skipped on stage during girlfriend Taylor Swift’s The Era Tour show in London.
Travis features in the new FX series which premiered on Wednesday night. The show has already made an impression on fans who have been left grimacing at the gory and gruesome nature of the programme. The first episode centered on Detective Lois Tryon, played by Niecy Nash-Betts) and her search for a serial 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁er.
The 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁er in question has been accused of heinous crimes, including ‘boiling’ a young 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦. While the mystery over the murderer’s identity is set to play out, Jason took to social media to admit he would not be impressed if Travis’ character turned out to be the 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁er.
Posting to X on the night of the series premiere, Jason wrote: “If Travis boiled a 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦, I’m gonna be real p—– #Grotesquerie”. Fans reacted to his post, with one saying: “Cut him some slack, you should have expected he was a 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁a,” in reference to the nickname he uses in his social media handles.
While another poked fun at Jason previously telling his 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren that cats are poisonous in an attempt to stop them from wanting one, they wrote: “Maybe your dad told him babies were venomous or something, idk…” A third also referenced Travis’ mindset when he appeared on stage with Swift.
Travis has made his acting debut
The Chiefs star revealed that during his cameo where he picked up the pop star and carried her on stage, all his thoughts were was to not drop his beau. “So we’ve gone from don’t drop the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 to don’t *boil* the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦, got it,” they quipped.
Ahead of the launch of Grotesquerie, Jason said on the New Heights podcast alongside his brother that he was planned to sit down and watch the debut with his daughters Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett. Attempting to get the inside scoop, he asked Travis: “Are you the bad guy? Are you the 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁er?”.
Unwilling to let slip the storyline, Travis replied: “Can’t tell you. You’re going to have to watch Jason. Make sure you have the girls watch this. They are going to love this show.” Jason told his brother: “Listen. Kylie (his wife) would murder me. I am going to have the girls. Is there a warning or is there a lot of surprises?’
Travis quickly advised against his nieces watching, replying: “Dude! That was completely a joke. Do not let the girls watch this show. I don’t know if they’ll even like understand what’s going on in the show. It’s very advanced for toddlers.”
