Jennifer Lopez is actively avoiding answering questions about her ex-lover Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ legal troubles after he was accused of criminal offenses.
The paparazzi spotted the talented artist Jennifer Lopez and tried to find out her reaction to the horrible accusations about the scandalous rap mogul Diddy.
Following the premiere of her new film Unstoppable in Los Angeles in late October, Jennifer Lopez was out signing autographs for fans when a woman asked her, “Do you have any comments on Diddy?”
The owner of the song Jenny From the Block kept a cold expression, seemed not to hear the question, and quickly left with his bodyguard.
Lopez also appeared in a separate video obtained by Page Six . A group of photographers surrounded her after she went to dinner with her manager Benny Medina in Los Angeles on Oct. 19.
A paparazzi asked her at the time: “Hey Jennifer, do you want to say something about the Diddy situation?”
The Hustlers star , who was riding with a friend, looked uncomfortable as she looked down and quickly got back into the car.
Lopez is not the first star who has been in a relationship with Diddy and then tried to distance herself.
In early October, Kevin Hart was asked about “hosting” parties for the Bad Boy for Life rapper . He told the paparazzi, “You’re asking the wrong person, the wrong question. That’s not a good question.”
Despite her efforts not to comment on her ex’s legal troubles, Jennifer Lopez’s name was still dragged into this scandal after a former Playboy model accused Diddy of hosting notorious parties with the singer at one of the venues she had been dating for two years.
“It was very strange to find out that we were watching Lopez’s video,” Rachel Kennedy alleged on the Daily Mail ’s The Trial of Diddy podcast . The former model also confirmed that Diddy spoke to Lopez on the phone during her meeting with the rapper, which took place in a Tokyo hotel room in 2000.
The On the Floor singer and the Last Night owner were in a relationship from 1999 to 2001. Diddy (54) was accused of having many “powerful people” involved during that time. However, Lopez (55) has not been named in any of her ex’s lawsuits or charged with any crime.
Attorney Tony Buzbee, who has led many of the civil lawsuits against Diddy, accused the former Bad Boy Records executive of 𝓈ℯ𝓍ual assault.
“There will come a day when we name people other than Diddy. Names that will surprise you. The list is too long, but because of the nature of this case, we will make sure we are right before we do it,” Buzbee said at a press conference on October 1.
Diddy has pleaded not guilty to charges of human trafficking, extortion, fraud, coercion, and transportation for prostitution. The rapper is currently being held at the Metropolitan Center in Brooklyn, New York, awaiting trial without bail. The trial is expected to begin on May 5, 2025.
